About Us

My name is Shannon Warden.

While visiting a Reptile Convention, I ventured to ask an invertebrate vendor if I could hold a juvenile Grammastola pulchra. I have had a passion for reptiles since I was very young, and I never knew much about the world of arachnids up until that point.  The initial feeling of awe was deep as the little tarantula’s feet gently puttered across my hand and I instantly fell in love. I bought that juvenile G. pulchra which started me on my journey in the arachnid world. Over the years, my collection and knowledge grew to the point where I wanted to start to contribute to the community.

Warden of the Web LLC is a small, Veteran Owned Exotic Invertebrate Vendor located in Central Vermont.

I started Warden of the Web LLC for the purpose of sharing my joy of these incredible eight-legged creatures.  Early in my research I discovered how quickly species are being depleted from the wild due to the loss of their natural habitat and being poached for the pet industry. I stayed extra cautious from that point forward to only purchase captive bread specimens for my rapidly growing collection. I source my stock from breeders and collectors that share my passion for raising and selling only captive bred tarantulas.

The theme of Warden of the Web LLC playing on my name is a fun way to hopefully make shoppers grin at a minimum while browsing. The Tarantulas are all truly innocent. You can feel guilt free too, knowing that the stock here is completely captive bred.
